Let's be Frank: Nets coach needs a win

EAST RUTHERFORD — Lawrence Frank led the Nets on their annual Thanksgiving week trip Monday. What happens in the four games out West could determine whether he makes the next trip.

The clock is ticking on the Nets’ coach and Teaneck native. Four more losses and the Nets will equal the NBA season-opening futility mark of 0-17, and probably will be introducing a new coach by early next week.

"I know I’ve got to produce," Frank said before the Nets flew to Denver. "I take full responsibility. I’m not hiding anywhere. I say bring it on. Put it on me."

Injuries have played a huge part in the 0-13 record. But management still believes they should have won some games.

Multiple sources with knowledge of the Nets’ thinking said if they return winless, there could be a new coach on the bench for the Dec. 2 game against Jason Kidd and the Mavericks at Izod Center.

Flight of ideas on a Thursday morning

It's amazing how microblogging defeats the purpose of blogging, "macro"-blogging, that is. That basically explains the lack of content in my blogs. I never really wanted to get Twitter but saw this airline promo where one could win roundtrip tickets to any destination in the Philippines? Did I win? No. But that got me hooked on Twitter. I "followed" the Twitter account of the airline, got some good deals on airfare (PISO FARE!! :D) And the next thing I knew, I've been adding friends, stalking on celebs (chismis haha) and updating the site VERY often.

So pardon me blog, I am just at loss for words. 140 characters is much easier than 672 characters (as of this word). I'm just blogging now so as to pass time. Yes, parang bum lang! Two students are absent today, so just two more to go! Halfway! :) Can't wait for this day to end. Though I won't be doing anything after work. I just miss our room, our bed, my Micah.

My Micah. :) She never fails to put a smile on my face. No matter how tired I am, it is cliche, but she really completes me. When I get home, she gets really excited and hugs me. She tells LOTS of stories which usually has "Tapos", "Uhm.." and "Ano". She would point to the PC so she could watch me play Plants vs. Zombies or she'd just sing and dance to the video of "Star ng Pasko", which we have almost memorized. She'd tell Tita Miyay, Ate Liezel or whoever how she used the toilet to pupu for the first time. She'd tell me that she's B. Bop (Baby Bop), Charles is Barney, and Nikka is Spongebob. (Ask her why Nikka's Spongebob: "Dalawa ngipin nya"). She'd even identify you with a Disney Princess. (She's Sleeping Beauty and I'm Ariel). Though I see her everyday, I miss my little girl. Though I sleep earlier than her at night, I still look forward to embrace her as we sleep.

Sleep. I feel sleeeeepy. My class starts in 10 minutes.

Sabi nila, if you "Do what you love. When you love your work, you become the best worker in the world." But what if up to now, I still don't know what I love to do? Hehe. But then again, “The best way to appreciate your job is to imagine yourself without one.” So I'm contented but still exploring my options i.e., nurse-related jobs. I went to UERM yesterday to finally pass my requirements and now, all I could do is wait, just as what I've been doing since 2006.

Back to work, friends. One minute to go.
